I moved from Alamo to the northeast and I miss it greatly, up here is too damm close, polluted, unfreindly place, Alamo was only my home for the few years I was stationed there, but I want to come back, when anyone asks me where home is I say New Mexico because I have experienced ever one of those momemts in white sands (from your pictures) and I want to come home

LOVE the Portland bridge photos - so true to our river's essence at night. However, it's the STEEL BRIDGE not the Burnside. The Burnside has the little towers with red roofs. Steel is recognizable as the one with the center section that raises straight up for boats.

Howdy from Texas: These were very interesting photos. I am from the Herr Hofl family of freising, my mother is still living there with what is left of the family. I have spent a lot of time touring the area, and the sites are very familiar. My family is skatered all over the states now, My mother's sisters being war brides and herself marrying american service men. Myself and my cousins have visited the home town from time to time. I am glad there is someone else out there who has roots to this wonderful town. I will be retiring from the Air Force reseves soon, and will take hopes from san Antonio to Ramstein AB. Awesome collection I must say ... nice to see that you have been in so many places. Me too stayed in Europe for some time and hence perhaps expecting a couple of more snaps of Amsterdam, Rotterdam , Brussels may be and Paris offcourse (like gelotin, champelesey, arch de tramph) and being an Indian by heart I must say that's another area you must explore.

Hi, I am a surfer boy and student from Peru, I grew up on a beach in Peru Called Costa Verde which is warm in the summer and cold in winter. The waves are mostly point breaks with really long rights and lefts.

I have got a Klimax board, I visit alots of places in Peru, so i can tell you the food is great we have great beaches north of lima, like mancora, chicama,pacasmayo with great waves chicama has for me the longest wave in the world, 43 kilometers south of lima you can find pico alto with waves from 8 to 10 meters.

Really loved the picture of the Denver City County Building. I lived in Denver for a number of years and that building always looked so beautiful at night, it was my favorite building in Denver. Very nice website. I enjoy your photos. You do a great job with your experimental photos...Time-lapse, etc. I happened upon your site while I was looking for pictures around Trona. It looks like you just passed through, but there are many interesting and beautiful places on the outskirts of town that I'm afraid you missed. Although the town smells of sulfur from the chemical plant there, I always enjoy the first whiff as it reminds me of visiting my grandmother in Trona when I was a baby.

We have made a few adventurous excursions ourselves. Just got over to Wisconsin last weekend. It was special. Sarah even made it all the way up to North Dakota when she was seven. I found your site with the most unlikely search-word with google: Yulara.
An einem Tag bin ich mal auf Uluru rauf, um Uluru herum und hab mich dann ich die 30km entfernten Olgas fahren lassen und habe die durchwandert. So was nennt sich "Man kann's auch uebertreiben!" ;)
Ich nehme an, du weisst, dass das "brain" auf Deinem Bild "Paintings by the hand of god - 4-5-2001" kein carving ist, sondern erosion.
Kleiner Tip: Wenn man die Welt sehen will, muss man in D, Austria, oder vor allem in der Schweiz wohnen (oder Aehnlichem). Dann da wird viel verdient und man hat viel, viel Urlaub. Ich habe es eben vorgezogen, in Australien zu leben, dafuer kann ich es aber nicht "sehen" - denn mit Urlaub ist hier so gut wie nichts...
"Gesehen" hab ich Australien als ich noch in D wohnte...

Lovely photos. Enjoyed seeing my home country Scotland. Why don't you visit " The Wheel " in Falkirk if you are still in Edinburgh. It is quite a spectacular piece of engineering.

Excellent photos. I will be at Yellowstone NP in August. I have a Canon camera and lenses. Where and how do you recommend me to take photos similar to your?

Photography is just a casual passtime for me, taking photos mostly of my pet cats and family gatherings. I have looked at many other peoples sites, but they do not hold a candle to yours...some are very inconsistant and pretencious...some are silly with music and dancing Icons and other crazy stuff. Julian you have done a fantastic job...keep up the good work...A TRULY CLASS ACT!!!

Your photos are awesome. I have some Bryce Canyon, 2002 Winter Olympics and Hawaii that I am rather proud of, but they don't hold a candle to your photos! I even have some of the same New York and very very similar Austria photos. I think all of Austria is beautiful and tons of fun so the photos will be similar no matter where you are! Ok......I have to know.......are you just independently wealth and like to travel to the same places I do? Or do you work for National Geographic????

I came across your webpage while searching for pics of Switzerland...well, it's my dreamland, and hopes to get there one of these days :-) The photos you've taken are quite addictive, ha ha ha!...I couldn't help myself, but "indulge". By the way, I'm a Filipino, married to a Korean. Hmn...if you love beaches, you can probably try Boracay beach in the Philippines, or Puerto Princesa. You've got to bring tons of sunblock, though. you know what, this site is..WOW..real amazing - it's the best photo resource i've found on internet.
it doesn't have high-profile look but the quality is not to be underestimated!

Ich habe erstmals versucht, die von Heide gemailte Internet-Adresse "photodiary" zu finden und war rasch erfolgreich. Es tat sich sofort eine faszinierende Welt von tollen Eindrücken auf.
Einmal sind es fotographisch sehr gelungene Fotos, dann von total aufregenden Plätzen auf der ganzen Welt, und dann noch fotographiert von meinem Neffen Julian, in der Ramsau sogar noch Ansichten der direkten Familie und sogar von mir selbst. Gerhard im Internet! Die tollen Photos von Tristram und Heide mit skyline im Hintergrund. Sidney, wo ich vor einem Jahr war mit Regenbogen über dem Opernhaus (warst Du Julian oben auf dem riesigen Bogen der Brücke, als Du diese Photos machtest, oder waren die auch vom Hotel? Das wo Du mit Rucksack bist und im Hintergrund ganz scharf das ganze Opernhaus, das muß doch von oben von der Brücke sein, oder?
Jedenfalls sind das meine ersten Eindrücke, ich werde noch viel blättern... ganz tolle Idee und sehr gute Nutzung technischer Möglichkeiten, großes Kompliment an Dich!!!
