There are no coincidences

| So I arrived in Edinburgh to live in a temporary hotel/apartment for a month. One foot out of the taxi, 5 seconds on the street, jumping into the hotel, I hear someone shout 'Julian, Julian' and it was Pauline, walking by on her way from work! I hadn't been in touch with her for 18 months after she went to Berlin! Big coincidence and a great welcome from my new home city! | ||
Gruess Gott, Herr Ruhland

| So we were on the plane to our diving holiday in Egypt... A 25 person school orchestra was lifting celloes, harps and what not on the plane... I see a grey-haired guy in front of me and say out loud 'Oh, it's Herr Ruhland', a kid in front of me turns round and asks 'yes, do you know him'? It was our music teacher from 20 years ago! He still remembered us after a bit of warming up and gave his regards to my brother... I told him that the only equivalent coincidence was meeting my English teacher Herr Leistl at a gas station in Dover... He replied 'Und daa hat er moi net graucht, da Herr Leistl'.... | ||
