My father grew up in Trona. There is nothing like the light in Searles Valley where Trona is. Strange things happen there. My father told me that back in the 1920's or 30's he looked across Searles Lake one summer day, and the mirage of a great city with skyscrapers appeared for several moments. Possibly Denver or Chicago. He never saw anything like it ever again. Hope you enjoyed it. | ||
