With our class' only British element in front of it.... Behind this river lies the GDR and the wall... Many who tried to swim over to the West were killed in gunfire....
The Berlin Wall..... It was depressing enough for me to stand in front of it laughing.... A year later it was gone....
Also see the picture with me standing here in the same position many years later.... The wall just starting behind this building, which the Nazis burned down in 1933 and which before that was Germany's center of democracy. After reunification it is now the official seat of the German parliament.
 In Berlin up on the Europa-Center.... Maxi and myself filmed all this with Super 8....
