I remember it being called the world's prettiest road.... And I remember it with Karl Malden's nose in front of it...
Well, swimming TO Alcatrazz would be the most idiotic thing anyone would have ever attempted.....
 One of my favourite photos. A seagull floating against the cityscape of San Francisco as seen from the ferry going to Alcatrazz.

The prop from Jaws as it was passing us by on the Universal Studios Tour.... Pretty amazing that I ended up working at this place years later....
Bernd on the right with the Death Valley in the background.... Or at least we thought it was the Death Valley....
 Lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. 86 metres below sea level.... Very, very hot in the summer....
 It's truly a religious sight....

This is actually a merged photo of Bernd and me standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon.... Now, who is the wuss? Okay, okay....
This image isn't fake and the reality of it was even worse. The ground was about 400 meters below Bernd and for a while I thought I might have to spend the rest of our holidays alone...

 This lizard rested there on the stone for a good 10 minutes allowing me to take photos of her.... So I was much more focused on her than on the Wupatki national monument....

By accident we passed a sign pointing us to this place.... The view was absolutely breathtaking....
Salt Lake City's main mormon temple....
Deers grazing at the Yellowstone River... Burned down trees from the wildfire in the late 80s in the background...

Close-up of the falls....
The beauty of the Yellowstone geysers are the rainbow colours of its hot tubs.... The colours are dead bacteria... The more alive, the more yellow the color gets... And the deep blue crisp waters are boiling hot....
 Our car was covered with dead flies from the desert.... It looked plainly unwashable... But the next two days we were going to drive through Washington and through two days of rain.... it washed everything away....

The pub as seen in my favourite television series.... I had to run a scam to get there.... I could not tell Bernd I wanted to head out to Roslyn, but as a driver I could pick the route.... So by 'accident' I stopped there....
In front of the KBHR radio station....
 When I see this photo I immediately get the title music of NX (Northen Exposure) into my mind....
