A photographer's worst nightmare

Sunset in the Sky
Brussels, July 1995
I like the colors of this photo... Me on the way to Gatwick airport to get back to Germany....
Actually some of the photos from the Reichstag here are digitally repaired.... This one shows the damage of the damn photolab that processed my slides. They destroyed one entire film with a rip through its center... I never screamed so much in a store and was so angry. At first they even claimed it was my fault and then they conceded and offer me a replacement film. All I wanted was my photos in their full quality....
In order to prove that I was at the Reichstag Wrapping of Christo, I took my photogenic sunglasses and asked this Australian girl, if she would wear them, so I could make a photo of me and the Reichstag. As you can see on her face, the athmosphere at this place was just perfect! Thousands of friendly people from all over the world gathered at a historic site turned pop-art.
You can tell that a sunset is really great, when even those that vehemently try to show off with the amount of travelling they have to do, move to the free seats in the plane and stare out of the windows like twelve-year olds on their first plane-trip.
Time changes....

Later at night....
Freising, 16 July 1995
I wanted to have the same picture like the one that I shot in front of the Reichstag in 1995... Same pose, such a different situation... Then East Berlin was sealed off, with the deadly wall between the two worlds in a divided city.... Now the city and country was reunited.... and the atmosphere in front of the Reichstag was one of peace and prospect....
Another view of me.... A smile with an audience in mind.
In 1995, the Hungarian artist Cristo came to Berlin and wrapped the former and the future German houses of parliament in silver fabric.... People from all over the world came and rested in front of this huge sculpture....
After the concert, long talks with Timi on how to proceed. Next day, the long letter....
