The most Romantic Hotel in the World...
Las Vegas, 20 April 2001
After a night out dancing we were invited to a birthday party by a friend of Joe's. While Joe and Janice freed the fridge of all its beer, I asked that girl if she was the host's sister - 'No I am his fiancee' she answered. Guess we won't be invited again that quickly....
Hiking with Inga, who made a stop in LA on her trip around the world in Topanga
Joe showing his rented convertible off to Inga, speeding through downtown, trying to meet more California Highway Officers
...not really if you are on your own on a business trip.... But still nice rooms in the Venetian....

All that is missing is the water....

I'm flying, Jack, I'm flying....
Las Vegas, 21 April 2001
The sea in front of the Bellagio....
Kind of bizarre.... The real Eiffel Tower in Paris has become more glitzy with a mounted lightshow, like Vegas, while the Vegas Paris Casino tower stays in the classic look....
The Venetian has clear blue water running through its remade canals with its motorized gondolas.... All fake... But even the water is missing on this photo... And what is missing from the real Venice? The stench, the smell and the dirt..... Ah America will never get Europe....
I loved the corridors in the Venetian... Looked like Titanic... the Strange Colours that my camera then produced gave it the real 'other side' look....
I like New York in April, what about you?
Manhattan, 24 April 2001

Look from AOLTW's offices onto Manhattan....
Nice nightshot of the queen victoria building in Sydney
