Big Springs
Big Springs, 2 February 2003
Well, maybe the last few beers weren't a good idea.... We suffered on our snowmobiles, being shaken all around...
The snowmobiles have great beams, so the ride at sunset and then dusk turned out to be great... Then Joe tried to take a detour and got stuck....
Yellowstone Park was once again closed because of low snow and high temperatures - we just set off at 8am and had pristine tracks in front of us, fresh powder snow, snowdrifts and no noise (apart from us) and clean air (apart from us) - absolutely fantastic!
Nice place....

Clear Track

Like two cowboys with our horses...
Not really, but it blew cold and nasty... And then my glove fell into a creek, but in a heroic action, Joe recovered it for me....
Wheeeee!!!
We took those snowmobiles up to 60mph and raced down these tracks... Just shortly after this I got stuck and then laughed at and helped by some local folks. 'I hope you are as embarassed as I am' Joe said... At least the town folks said 'If you don't get stuck, you haven't tried hard enough'.

Hollywood Lake

This is supposed to be symbolic

Cute dogs, I thought... then one of them kinda got aggressive....
Guess which one was pissed off and jumped at me... The others look around as if to say 'good grief, calm down'....
In the middle of Hollywood lies this lake... With the Hollywood sign behind it on this clear day....
I just don't know what it means....

Silvia with Jetlag
Burbank, 15 February 2003
When I took a photo of this one a jogger ran up to me and inquired what I was taking photos of... He probably thought I was some terrorist scout taking photos of rusty faucets one day after the new alarm threat level was set....
Nice mix.... 100mm Macro lens...
Fence...
After I hadn't seen her for seven years, Silvia visited me in LA. My home cinema has the effect of letting people fall asleep in seconds as soon as the lights go out....

Another Jaegerblick Photo... This time several years later....
Nice shot of Silvia against the light... Shows what the D30 can do....
Just a fun photo....

The colors fit perfectly together...
With Silvia on the Del Coronado beach... after we concluded our photo session for the day....
Joe enjoys the music at the Rainbow... Not! But Silvia and myself were at least able to sing along with all the NIN songs....
Nice color combination....
I met Mike Tyson
Burbank, 19 February 2003
So he punched me in the face. Or rather I woke up from surgery a few hours before and my nose is the size of a pumpkin and blood is dropping down my throat.... The ultimate LA experience. Get an operation on your nose.... In this case a deviated septum (no nose job, just internally to ease breathing)....
