So I arrived in Edinburgh to live in a temporary hotel/apartment for a month. One foot out of the taxi, 5 seconds on the street, jumping into the hotel, I hear someone shout 'Julian, Julian' and it was Pauline, walking by on her way from work! I hadn't been in touch with her for 18 months after she went to Berlin! Big coincidence and a great welcome from my new home city!
So... this was on the outside of the first apartment I was looking at. I was envisioning visitors asking me 'Do you know a girl called Lynn, Julian'?
Another potential for my flathunt... Nice apartment, even had a piano... Just an example of the 15 or so flats I saw....
 Six days after I arrived, I rushed back to Las Vegas for NAB. Though my H1B was still valid, this time I entered with the waiver. Felt good to be just a visitor!

Back in Edinburgh again, I had the most perfect week.... I ended up also chosing my apartment that I would move in soon.
Springtime on a nice day in Edinburgh is fantastic!
 Well, from Arthur's seat, the big hill in Edinburgh actually...
 Visible directly from Arthur's seat... But I won't point it out yet....

Edinburgh would be much nicer without all that wind, though....

So we rented a car and went for a roadtrip along the highlands... Years before I had done this with Karin and we ended up in terrible weather all along the way....
View over the ruins of the old St. Andrews cathedral.... Gorgeous day... we didn't run into Prince William...
 Can be quite pretty... On our way to Oban....
