I planned to go to lots of festival shows this year, but managed only a handful... I shot this photo during one of the shows called 'But seriously Dude' by a Canadian comedian and then they asked me to put the camera away... The festival is really cool. Lots of people heckling, giving comedians a hard time, but the ones that are good shine through....
Out of the blue I decided to go with Bernd and Carmen to the street parade, the yearly techno festival in Zurich. I really enjoyed it....
 My god, what a mixture of a photo. Nuns, Angst and a Beamer....
 They close down almost all of Zurich, then many, many trucks with DJs and dancers pass along the crowd. This year there were 600,000 people there even though the heat was on: 37 degrees in the shade, 100 Fahrenheit....

 But then he gave me a big grin....
 This girl headed up the first techno truck from the Parade and was sucking on a small plastic penis which she moved in and out. No idea what her statement was....

 The Street Parade is all about people having fun....
The area in the middle is where the next trucks come up... You can see one in the distance....

I have a A2 poster of this picture. Perfect focus, 100mm Canon EF lens. Magnificent. She was gorgeous, too... I like the yellow ear plugs.... and the great makeup. She and her friend gave me a smile, so she didn't look that sad for long....

 This girl was one of the best dancers at the whole parade. The whole crowd went wild at her. This is during one of the quiet times in a trance song... Great....

Das soll sie auch.... I was reading 'Life of Pi' by Yann Martel, starring up into the blue sky and enjoying warm sunrays on Calton Hill. Perfect!

SACD is a competitor to our DVDA. This is a great image of how SACD did a good job at IFA.... All you need to know is the album cover and understand the look on the guy's face....
I came back to Germany for a night and then spent a night with Vreni, PW, Karin and Bernhard in Oberndorf. Sadly the weather was bad and we weren't able to do any walk or hike....

Baernhard looking at the Game of Life. It was lying around and I knew I liked it as a kid so we should play it. We played until the bitter end. What a terrible game. Only kids like it because of the complex rules....
 I went back to IFA in Berlin and at night I took photos of the Reichstag...
 After they rebuilt the Reichstag (shortly after Christo had wrapped it) they built this impressive dome on top of it....

... Long exposure....
A famous landmark of Berlin - it was not accessible for 50 years as it marked the border between East and West....
 When I started taking this photo, I was stopped by security as the Saudi Royal Family arrived with 30 cars and buses and some hypernervous security guard assholes started aggressively pushing me away. It is a public square and I should be able to take photos and I didn't want any of them on my photo anyway. I waited and made some calm marks that their pea brains could make no reaction to and then shot this photo. The guy in front drove me home - he was way cool and commented on how idiotic the guards had behaved...
