After a night out here, the next day was foggy, but turned out colorful....
A lil bit of Photoshop has to be admitted for this one... But the original was good enough!
After I had been here in 2001, I had to show it to Dani....
Looking at the Monument Valley....

Like marble...
There are many theories about what created the white dome rocks here at Canyonlands. One of the theories is that it was the site of a meteor impact.
Somewhere down there, John Woo filmed the opening sequence for Mission Impossible 2.

Sadly we didn't get to see the full sunset as it suddenly got very cloudy....
Canyonlands Grandview point is a fantastic area... So we were almost all alone, snuggled up and watched the sun set.
Back in Arches after I was there just after September 11 on my journey back from Denver....

Oh, first photo with my 'new' look. Just before we commenced with Sunset Snogging.
We waited for a long time and descended in darkness. At the parking place I took this photo handheld for 2 seconds pressed against the window....

One of my favourite views revisited. The wind blew ice-cold that day....
...and the wind stronger and colder.... We had to call it a day despite pullovers and jackets....
Zion is nice, but a bit dull.... Nice colours though.... Our last stop in Utah....

Manhattan, 29 September 2004
This was probably the worst trip to NYC. I love the place, but I had been worn out from the travel and just wanted to be somewhere static for a while. Then it started raining. At least I had two hours in Central Park after my flight in, just sitting on a rock, pondering things....
A remnant of the GOP party conference outside of a flower shop in Manhattan.
