So I wanted to get myself a Nintendo Wii - the first store in Munich city that opens half an hour before others is the Kaufhof... This was the queue there at 9....
This was the side entrance... While there were about 30 at the front, we actually opened a bit earlier... Then race 3 flights of stairs up and 20 consoles were taken in 5 seconds. I thought 'gentle, gentle' and even though I was one of the first there, no luck.... No wonder if you look at the competition... Look at the guys eager hands! Later one of the unlucky guys told me 'I had one in my hand, I touched it!'.

 25 Minutes later we were thirty people. I was quite at the front and we ran five flights of stairs up until quite a few of us were out of breath. 3 Consoles in the entire store.... Before I did this, I had a look at Saturn...

Two nutters had been here since 2am in the morning. By 9:30 there were 100 in the queue and 36 Wiis up for grabs... I headed down there 20 minutes later just to check it out... And fifty people ran in my direction trying to find another store with one.... I wonder what kind of scenes had happened there - with the insane 'Greed is great', 'Geiz ist Geil' mentality by this store...
Well, 10 minutes in Saturn, they received a few more... Unlucky those who had queued there for hours and had left earlier... I grabbed a box and Zelda....
 For about 30 minutes, there were some more spare ones. Quite a few people grabbed two or more Wiis, presumably for ebaying them....
 Need for Speed Carbon and COD not selling. Could it be that most Wiiers already have them on Xbox? Or a different audience?

Muse Live at Zenith in Munich. Fantastic concert - I took this photo with my mobile phone. The image sucks and you can't see anything, but I just wanted to note it down, since it was such a fantastic concert!
Headed out to London for a BDA meeting.

Munich's city was completely full. But in the evening everyone was trying to desert it...
 Bernd, Dominik, Mathias and myself went out to dinner at a great French place. Here you see us with wine, oysters and snails...
 Always nice to see our old Oak tree in its christmas glory...

Full program on the second christmas day. In the morning mass in our local parish, in the evening Verdi's La Forza Del Destino
And the cast. Before this visit, I was really sceptical if I would like the opera. It turned out that I really enjoyed it - the reason? Subtitles for the lyrics...
 I love taking photos of flowers...
