Another night at the opera - am really starting to get into it. This time it was Rossini. Especially Aleksandra Kurzak as Rosina was fantastic!

This winter has been a real mess - there was almost no snow - all the resorts had to use artificial snow, which I don't like much. I had these great new skis, there was fresh powder and in the morning PW called me and we rushed off in the bus to the Spitzingsee.
Around the Spitzingsee.
First time for my brand new Rossignol Bandits to touch the snow. They were great!

We had lots of stiff muscles after that day...
On the flight to Osaka after a free upgrade, I had the best seat for photography - first seat row window with the windows already pitched a bit further and in front of the engines of course.
I loved the deep and tranquil blue. Would love to translate it into a painting.

Getting brighter...
And a couple of hours later we landed.
One thing I really dig about Japan are their drinks vending machines.
The drinks are always top quality. In Japan, you pay for quality - it's none of the price rules stuff everywhere else. Although one thing - I miss Gokuri, the best Grapefruit drink there ever was....

At this great restaurant I went to with Masataka.
On the 15th floor of this hotel, they built a wedding chapel.
Elsewhere it's now just Panasonic, but in Japan, National is a famous Panasonic brand for many household goods. The riding simulator seems a great new exercise device. Only in Japan.

Unfortunately the weather this time was very overcast due to a storm from China. Would have wished there to be blue skies. But these were over in Europe...
 I was in the hotel, typing up a report, when a great thunderstorm happened. Took out the tripod, but by then it was too late, it had moved behind our building.
