The many peaks to climb from the base of the Bochumer Hütte.

It was actually really still early and large areas of snow extended down to 1500 meters. Underneath them the snow would be melting and it was easy to break through the snow and land with your feet in the mud...
Was to go through the middle there to a mountain lake - but there was still lots of snow that had been carried down by avalanches there and so we went up the Rauber and Saalkogel (2007m).

Bochumer Hütte

Still lots of snow around. Obviously an HDR photo.
Many small peaks in vicinity with various difficulty grades and also a few mounted climbing routes (Grade D).
...more to climb... Not sure if HDR was the right thing to use here, by the way... The contrast itself is nice, though what HDR at least shows is a lot of detail in snow and structure....
The old hut with the copper tower used to be a base for a mining colony up here that was used up until WW1. Now it belongs to the German Alpenverein.

Makes this image of a train car in Rosenheim really nice :)
Finally found one of these people with amazing handwriting....
